Adapted Sports

Adapted sports in its many variations is one of Pajulahti’s strategic corner stones. Cooperation with several organizations in adapted sports, and our serious investments in equipment and circumstances have marked the importance and popularity of the sport in our Training Center. We offer a variety of year-round sports such as:

  • goalball
  • athletics
  • boccia
  • sitting volleyball
  • sledge hockey
  • football
  • swimming
  • table tennis
  • power lifting
  • cross country skiing
  • wheelchair basketball
  • dancing
  • fencing

Pajulahti is famous for its pleasant and quiet athmosphere. We are well experienced in organizing camp activities, tournaments and events for national and international top athletes and teams as well as enthusiasts.

Pajulahti Games, the international multi event organized traditionally in January in cooperation with VAU,  Finnish Sports Association for Persons with Disabilities, is the highlight in our disability sports calendar. We also host training camps for the Finnish Paralympic Committee and several sports federations.

Pajulahti received the Paralympic Training Center status in 2014. Our mission is to develop training and trainer education. Several trainers acting in disability sports have participated in our courses for Further Qualification for Coaching. The staff from our Test Lab develops and refines tests to benefit the sport and the needs of athlete and coach.
